2 lbs. chicken pieces (can have skin, which is authentic to Nepali recipe)
Marinade Suggestion:
1 cup yogurt (whole milk preferred)
1 tablespoons lemon/lime juice
2 tablespoons mustard oil (alternate: use mustard paste/powder with vegetable oil)
2-3 table spoon melted butter
1/2 cup onions (paste)
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
0-3 red chilies
1/2 teaspoon pepper (optional)
1 teaspoon coriander seed (optional)
Salt to taste
Garnish:
1/4 cup cilantro

Combine
all the marinating ingredient into a marinade.

Marinate chicken for at least 6 hours.

Heat
the grill and put the marinated chicken into skewers. Grill
the chicken and avoid turning too often.

Take
off the grill and wait atleast couple minutes before serving chicken sekuwas.

Chicken Sekuwa
Sekuwa is the Nepali word for any meat grilled like kebobs. Chicken Sekuwa is good choice as an appetizer before meal or as aside dish with alcoholic drinks.
